Okay i've got some bad news.. HALF OF MY MARIE GOLD FLOWER PLANTS ARE DEAD ALREADY !
It's pretty heart breaking to watch them die actually, I wanted to be able to grow them until they were nice and big enough to be planted in the backyard. Ah well.
So for the past week i've been checking up on the plants. The fact some of them have fertiliser in them doesn't stop them from dying.
The seedling's i kept in direct sunlight have all died by now. I regularly gave them water and measured by how much they had grown. Yet, they still died. This shows that these seedlings should not be placed in direct sunlight as they will just dry up completely. Another really interesting thing I noticed was that the numbers I had written on each cup, had completely disappeared. Vanished. They weren't there anymore. I think the extreme heat and light from the sun caused the permanent marker to disappear. How cool is that !?
As for the seedling's I had kept in the sealed cupboard, they had died too. There was now this white fungi growing over the potting mix. It appeared to be fluffy and very delicate, as though if I touched it, it would split. I've taken photographs of the fungi growing and can't wait to see what happens to it as time goes by.
The only seedlings that have actually managed to stay alive are the one's in medium sunlight ! Finally some of my seedlings don't die ! I can happily say that I have five very healthy Marie Gold Flower seedlings growing :)
