A little late

Sorry guys, i haven't blogged for a while ! My computer crashed and hence i couldnt update. But i kept a written blog of everything so ill include it all in the blogs to come.

May 18

Tan- The colour of the nailpolish has gotten lighter but the nailpolish is still there
Blue- Approximately half of the nailpolish has faded
Green- One third of the nailpolish has gone
Pink- There is no more pink nailpolish left
Orange- Only one quarter of the nailpolish remains
Purple- Only one quater of the nailpolish remains

Results for strip of nailpolish in acetone




This is the strip of nailpolish that was placed in the acetone. The results are :


Tan- The colour has faded but the nailpolish still appears to be there.
Blue- Approximately one third of the nailpolish is gone.
Green- Approximately one third of the nailpolish is gone.
Pink- All of the nailpolish has gone.
Orange- Over half of the nailpolish has gone.
Purple- Approximately two thirds of the nailpolish has gone.

Method

Equipment
- four plastic take away containers of the same size
- six nailpolish's of the same brand
- 100ml acetone
- 100ml olive oil
- 100ml mould remover, one plastic sleeve
- sticky tape


Method
1. Cut up paper and plastic sleeves into four equal sizes
2. Slide paper into the plastic sleeve and sticky tape together
3. Paint a stroke of each nailpolish, approximately 4cm in length, on each of the sheets
4. Place one sheet outside where it's sunny, one in 100ml of mould remover, one in 100ml olive oil and another in 100ml acetone
5. Observe changes in the nailpolish
6. Record your results and tabulate the information appropriately

So far, so good .

Hey there :) Haha I'm so excited, my experiment is going pretty good.
So far the results are:

- Mould remover
Tan- No changes are visible.
Blue- No changes are visible.
Green- the tips of the nailpolish stroke have slightly faded but not much of a difference can be seen
Pink- No changes are visible.
Orange- The colour of this nailpolish has slightly faded to a lighter shade
Purple- No changes are visible.

- Nailpolish remover
Tan- There is hardly any change visible.
Blue- One quarter of the nail polish has disappeared.
Green- The colourof the nailpolish has darkened to a pond green and half of the varnish has gone.
Pink- The colour of the nailpolish is now a pale pink and one eighth of it has disappeared.
Orange- Over half of the nail polish has disappeared and the shade has lightened.
Purple- Half of the nailpolish has disappeared but the colour has not changed.

- Oil
There is no change to any of the nailpolish.
